Hi, I’m Shannon Andreson.
I believe public service means showing up, listening, and earning trust every day.
I currently serve as Chair of the Hopkins School Board. Before running for office, I spent 14 years working with my district’s Legislative Action Coalition, building education priorities and advocating directly with state lawmakers.
Now I’m running for State Senate to bring practical experience and steady leadership to District 49.
What I've Delivered
As a school board member and chair, I’ve helped lead work that includes:

Why I'm Running
Minnesotans are doing their part, working, parenting, caregiving, and contributing to their communities. Government should meet people with the same effort.
I’m running because I’ve seen how hard it can be to navigate schools, healthcare, and support systems. We can make these systems easier to access, easier to understand, and more responsive to real life.

Rooted in District 49
I’ve lived in District 49 for 19 years and call Minnetonka home. I’m a parent of two, a special education paraprofessional, and a nonprofit leader. I also serve as guardian and conservator for my mother, making the gaps in our systems personal.
This is grounded in real experience, every day.
District 49 deserves experienced leadership that listens, shows up, and follows through.
